TFT – Thought Field Therapy

TFT is an easy self-help method where you gently tap on specific meridian points depending on the discomfort you feel in your system. Focus on your discomfort, for example, fear of flying, with mental and emotional attention, and this will create a connection that links your thinking brain, feeling brain, and body.

It is normal over time to notice “symptoms” in your body when you experience psychological discomfort or imbalance. Perhaps you have ignored what your body is trying to tell you through various hints, but your busy thinking brain has been too distracted to “pause” and take these signals—or yourself—seriously.

With relational psychotherapy and TFT, you will gain greater insight and balance within, thereby reconnecting your head and body.

The 12 Meridian Channels

The 12 meridian channels are divided into Yin and Yang.

  • Yin symbolizes all feminine and receptive aspects. Yin contains the unconscious, the hidden (darkness), the cold, passive, and stable.
  • Yang symbolizes masculine and giving aspects. Yang contains the conscious, the light, warmth, activity, action, and creativity.

In China, meridian channels and acupuncture have been known and practiced for over 8,000 years. TFT is a later developed, gentler method where tapping techniques on specific meridian points can regulate the body’s energy system.
