Collaboration with the Red Cross
Human Recovery has provided a multifaceted effort at the Red Cross Asylum, including support/contact person programs, psychosocial interventions, NADA acupuncture, trauma treatment, music therapy, and equine-assisted therapy.
The interventions have targeted: mental illnesses, anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma.
All efforts have been implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Danish Social Services Act. Work has included managing mental health issues such as nightmares, separation anxiety, and difficulties falling asleep.
Family treatment programs have focused particularly on help for self-help, especially strengthening the parental role so that parents can better support their children and promote greater well-being for the children.
Human Recovery has been very flexible in organizing the tasks and has always been available—even during acute needs outside normal working hours.

Sorø Municipality
“In Sorø Municipality, we invited Human Recovery to educate us about PTSD—its symptoms, reactions, treatment, and relationships with people who have PTSD.
It was an enriching presentation that provided much food for thought and learning for many colleagues who previously knew little or had limited knowledge about PTSD.
The feedback from colleagues has been very positive.
